OUR STORY
Lovoni & Sarah
Sarah and I met after I saw some of Sarah’s bone china online from her company Dragonfly and Blossom. After purchasing some of Sarah’s beautifully illustrated products we struck-up a friendship, corresponding for a couple of years or so through Covid before finally meeting up in the UK in 2022. We’d share stories about wanting to lose weight, get strong and be healthier. Both of us knowing it was time to knuckle down and take care of ourselves: Sarah after having a hip replaced and me after having both my knees replaced. We started our podcast in the hopes to not just help ourselves but, in sharing our journeys to better health and wellbeing, we hope our stories inspire and support others to do the same. Realising there’s more to losing weight than simply less calories in and moving more, each episode we delve into a different topic, especially the emotional aspects of why so many people struggle with trying to lose weight and our topics connect back to this. Join us each Monday when we release new topics on our podcast – Lovoni and Sarah. Listen to it on your favourite podcast platform. L xo
Sarah
I’m Sarah: mum to a teenager and two fur babies and I’ve been a solo parent for most of my son’s childhood. I’m a business owner creating illustrations you see on my fine bone china collections and bespoke designs for companies, shows and individuals wanting unique and detailed artwork. Although I’m confident and happy I’ve lived with been overweight (in many different sizes) since childhood and want to become fitter, stronger and healthier to make the most out of life, including the new hips that are in progress. I live in the beautiful Cotswolds in Wiltshire, England. Read more about me here.
Lovoni
I’m Lovoni – born and raised in Sydney, Australia, over two decades ago I moved to North America. First Canada then the USA. Working with food in the media for over 30 years, I’m a small business owner; a cookbook author; food stylist; recipe creator; food photographer and once-upon-a-time I hosted a popular food show in Canada. As a certified nutritionist I believe in nourishment not punishment. I love pastry, good wine and afternoon teas. Full of wanderlust, I’m always on the lookout for my next adventure. Mum to an adorable Xolo (Mexican hairless dog) and lover of neutral interiors and simple, yet cosy design. Growing my own food brings me joy and my husband and I have an abundant vegetable garden. Albeit it small, it produces enough vegetables for us throughout the summer & halfway into autumn as well as friends who we share the fruits of our labor. Read more about me here.
